SOP: Adjusting Orthosis Length

The following illustrates a standard operating procedure (SOP) for adjusting the length of the red orthosis model in RapidShell3D.


Prerequisites

  • Red orthosis model generated in RapidShell3D

Please reference the following prescriptive variables on the prescription form and ensure that the computer-aided design complies with your specific laboratory standard.

Shell Length

Goals

Adjust the length of the red orthosis model in RapidShell3D

Adjusting Orthosis Length

  1. Clicking the up arrow will increase the medial length. Clicking the down arrow will decrease the medial length.

     

     

  2. Clicking the up arrow will increase the lateral length. Clicking the down arrow will decrease the lateral

    length.

     


Useful Tips

The baseline grid is 10mm x 10mm. This can assist in ensuring that the length of the red orthosis model is the appropriate distance from the lowest point of the metatarsal head.
