The following illustrates a standard operating procedure (SOP) for adjusting the length of the red orthosis model in RapidShell3D.


Prerequisites

  • Red orthosis model generated in RapidShell3D

Goals

  • Adjust the length of the red orthosis model in RapidShell3D

Adjusting Orthosis Length

  1. Clicking the up arrow will increase the medial length. Clicking the down arrow will decrease the length.




  2. Click Yes.

  3. Use the middle-click of your mouse to place a point at the apex of the medial longitudinal arch (MLA).

  4. Use the middle-click of your mouse to place a point at the widest point of the lateral heel.

  5. Use the middle-click of your mouse to place a point at the widest point of the medial heel.

  6. Use the middle-click of your mouse to place a point at the point in which you would like the orthosis shell to end in width and length at the lateral forefoot.

  7. Use the middle-click of your mouse to place a point at the point in which you would like the orthosis shell to end in width and length at the lateral forefoot.

  8. Click Accept

  9. A red orthosis model will now be generated based on the RefPoints placed on the foot. The generation of this red orthosis model will also be dependent on prescriptive variables input into your LaserCAM Prescribe prescription.

You are now ready to modify your red orthosis model based on the requested prescriptive variables.
