Orthosis Size (US Foot Size)
...
Orthosis Size (US Foot Size) defines the size that will be used during computer-aided design and computer-aided manufacture.
Sizing Convention | Minimum Size | Maximum Size |
---|---|---|
Men's (Wide) | 4 | 17 |
Women's Athletic (Medium Width) | 4 | 13 |
Women's Dress (Narrow Width) | 4 | 13 |
Tip |
---|
Est. Orthosis Length is displayed below the Orthosis Size (US Foot Size) input. It is commonly recommended that the Est. Orthosis Length be at least 25mm greater than the length of the foot. |

Orthosis Thickness
Orthosis Thickness specifies the thickness of a Machined EVA orthosis at it's thinnest regions. These regions are most commonly the forefoot and centre of the heel.
Default Value | Minimum Value | Maximum Value |
---|---|---|
1.5mm | 1.0mm | 10mm |
...
Tip |
---|
You should consider Orthosis Thickness in conjunction with EVA Density and Patient Weight. |
...
Warning |
---|
Not requesting a specific Orthosis Top Width (US) may result in orthosis that are too narrow, have incorrect heel cup height, heel cup depth, and poor conformation to medial and lateral longitudinal arches. |
Sizing Convention | Minimum Size | Maximum Size |
---|---|---|
Men's (Wide) | 4 | 17 |
Women's Athletic (Medium Width) | 4 | 13 |
Women's Dress (Narrow Width) | 4 | 13 |
Plantar Grind
A Plantar Grind is a manual adjustment made to the plantar surface of a Machined EVA orthosis. Material is removed from the plantar surface of the midfoot region to allow for improved shoe fit.
The depth of a Plantar Grind is greatest at the medioplantar aspect and gradually tapers to minimal depth at the lateroplantar aspect of a Machined EVA orthosis.
Default Value | Minimum Value | Maximum Value |
---|---|---|
