SOP: Creating NC file using ViewRouter

The following illustrates a standard operating procedure (SOP) for creating an NC file using ViewRouter.

Prerequisites

ViewRouter installed

ViewRouter configured for your specific CNC

NC files present on local PC

Goals

• Create an NC file using ViewRouter

Procedure

Selecting Mill Configuration

1. Open ViewRouter

2. Click Files → Select Mill

3. Select the appropriate mill.cfg file from the list

4. Click Accept

Load NC Files

1. Click Job → Create Job

2. Click the File Name box in line with Index 1

   1. This corresponds to the first machining position on your CNC

3. Double click NC file from Files list

4. Repeat as required for remaining positions

5. Click Refresh Grid

6. Click Close

Build NC Files

1. Click Process → Build File

2. Click Process

3. Click Save

Print Job List

1. Click Job → View Job

2. Click Print (Default Printer)
