A Plantar Grind is a manual adjustment made to the plantar surface of a Machined EVA EVA (RS3D) orthosis. Material is removed from the plantar surface of the midfoot region to allow for improved shoe fit.
The depth of a Plantar Grind is greatest at the medioplantar aspect and gradually tapers to minimal depth at the lateroplantar aspect of a Machined EVA EVA (RS3D) orthosis.

For example, if you are selecting Revere from the Brand list, then you will need to enter the Shoe Code. This can be found on the inside of the shoe alongside the sizing information. If your laboratory offers Revere as a brand option, then this code will allow technicians to correctly size Machined EVA EVA (RS3D) orthoses for a perfect fit. |
