- Update LaserCAM Lab Code
- Optional: Submit digital prescription to laboratory
Procedure
Update LaserCAM Lab Code
Open LaserCAM Prescribe
Click the Settings icon from the top right corner and select Update Lab Code
Type in your laboratories LaserCAM Lab Code
Click OK

If LaserCAM Prescribe restarts, you have configured for your chosen laboratory. |
Optional: Laboratory Confirmation
It is recommended that you submit a test prescription to your configured laboratory.
Open LaserCAM Prescribe
Click New Prescription
You may pick any available prescription method
Click Patient Details
Enter a test name, e.g. - Test Submission
Click Review Prescription
Click Finalise Prescription → Finalise & Send to Lab

The LaserCAM Symbiosis CNC is housed within a safety enclosure. This safety enclosure does not allow for the machine to be in operation when the enclosure is open. Under no circumstance should the machine be operated with the enclosure open. |
Goals
- Turn on and prepare the LaserCAM Symbiosis CNC for machining
- Load and run an NC file using UCCNC
Procedure
Turn on LaserCAM Symbiosis CNC
Turn on LaserCAM Symbiosis CNC from green switch
Wait 10 seconds for connection
Open UCCNC
Open the Symbiosis shortcut
This should be located on your desktop
This is loads UCCNC with the correct configuration
Prepare LaserCAM Symbiosis
Click green button on LaserCAM Symbiosis CNC safety enclosure
Click flashing Reset button on UCCNC interface
Click P1
Click P2
Click Diagnostics
Disarm LaserCAM Symbiosis CNC
Touch the Tool Probe on the router bit
Ensure Probe light flashes green within UCCNC
Place the Tool Probe within the circle on the LaserCAM Symbiosis CNC
Click the Tool Probe button on the UCCNC
Disarm LaserCAM Symbiosis CNC
Remove the Tool Probe from the LaserCAM Symbiosis CNC

Prepare EVA Blanks
Prepare the required EVA blanks according to patient prescriptions
Reference Orthosis Size (US Foot Size) and Density & Colour from patient prescription
Apply double-sided tape to the plantar surface of all EVA blanks
Adhere EVA blanks to the appropriate reference position on the LaserCAM Symbiosis CNC
Reference positions will be marked P1, P2, P3 and P4

Please ensure that you press down firmly on the EVA blanks after placement on the LaserCAM Symbiosis CNC. Inadequate adhesion can result in machining hazard. |
Load & Run NC File
Arm LaserCAM Symbiosis CNC
Click Load G Code in UCCNC
Select your desired NC file
Click Cycle Start in UCCNC
